Artist's Statement ::
Paul Olson spent his early years in Colombia, South America, where his first impressions of form, movement and color were developed. Before his serious art training, he taught college English and worked as a coordinator with a medical library network. He studied sculpture at the Contemporary Art Workshop in Chicago and also at the School of the Art Institute.
Paul's beautiful and sensuous works are sculpted in wood and bronze. These dynamic works are full of movement and grace: they appear to flow or to fly, and they beg to be touched. Paul's works are found in collections throughout the United States and in three foreign countries.
