Nick Norris paints to create or recreate feelings of spaces, places and experiences. His paintings mostly take the form of abstract or abstracted architectural or landscape scenes. The nature of all his paintings is inherently abstract, even in cases where an easily distinguishable image is represented.
In September 1996 Nick Norris was awarded a scholarship from the Sir John Cass's Foundation to study stone carving at the City & Guilds of London Art School.
He graduated in June 1999 with a very successful final show, winning the Executive Committee Prize for Outstanding Work in the Graduate Show.
